RIP American-Made Toys

Goodbye adorable faux sushi set-wish I could have known you better....

Going through my blog list today I stumbled on this article by Currently Crafting, informing me that, "In 63 days it is going to become illegal to sell handmade toys in the U.S. unless they have been tested." You can find more information there as well as the link to a petition to SAVE OUR TOYS! (Honestly, how many crafting SAHMs use lead-based paint for their natural homemade toys?)

AND

Oddly enough right when I was about to hit the publish button for this post I caught a similar article over at Unplug Your Kids. I'd say go ahead and check them both out. Beyond that, if you happen to be a fellow blogger I deeply encourage you to write a post on the subject.

This is something that will impact us all- it's not just about online sellers and etsy, it's about grandma Jane down the block who will be breaking the law with those taggie blankets & plushies she makes. It is a sad day indeed when we penalize our own citizens for the faults of others. So go blog- please. "The people have a right to know!"
